Day 9

When you come full circle and you know you have...it's like your destiny is staring you right in the face. You know exactly what it is you're supposed to do at that point. People say that you manifest your own destiny, which I absolutely believe to be true. In some cases, you have to let your destiny manifest you (if that makes sense). What I mean by that is you can't be afraid to live up to your own potential and highest expectations. You can never be afraid of failure. The only failure in life is in not trying. Regardless of what I do in life, whether I end up teaching or not (I plan to, but God's plan is greater), I know that I'll end up doing something great! I know that I'll be an inspiration to someone somewhere! And that's all the purpose I can ask for.

There was this song sung at my 8th grade graduation called My Time Has Come by Destiny's Child and I happened to hear it on a mixed cd I put together a long time ago, and it just made me feel like I've come full circle so far. Even though I have so much more to do, so much father to go, I know that I haven't come this far for nothing.

It was announced that an 8th grade girl had been dismissed from the school this morning and it was kind of solemn. You spend all of middle school with the same people and one person gets let go (or chooses to leave) so close to the end. I imagined what it would have been like if one of my classmates left so close to the end. I don't think we all would have been the same class or people. I think it would have brought us closer, though. It's a crazy world!
